Join us in Seattle for an in-depth learning experience designed to take the mystery and headache out of digital workflow.
Managing, organizing, and archiving images has become one of the photographer's biggest challenges in digital photography. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has become the workflow solution for many photographers. This 4 day class is designed to get you up to speed using Lightroom and give you a thorough understanding of these topics: using catalogues to manage your images, using the develop module to optimize your images, using the slideshow, and using the print and web modules to output your images. As part of the curriculum you will create a web page, slideshow and prints of your existing work or images created while attending the workshop. There will be time to photograph the Seattle skyline as well as the intimate details in locations like the Pike Place market. The class will focus on helping you use the Lightroom to organize, optimize and output your images. Our Lightroom course will cover all aspects of workflow from taking the picture through the Lightroom workflow as well as the intricacies and integration in working with Photoshop.
Students should bring images that they have already taken. RAW format is best but not essential. It is best to bring your images on a small external hard drive, this way you will be able to create a catalogue of your work as well as add your new images. By doing this it will be easy to integrate into your image library at your home.
If your camera does not use a compact flash card make sure you bring your card reader with you. The class room utilizes Windows desktop computers. Should you choose to bring your own laptop make sure you have the most recent version of Lightroom installed.
